This choke conversion kit really saved what was left of my hair! No matter what I did I couldn't get the choke working on my 69'F-100's 302 two barrel...engine was originally out of a 71'Torino.
I got rid of the original choke and went with a electric and the darned thing still wouldn't start or run worth a crap no matter how many fast idle cam adjustments I made. It then became a quest...Money be damned, I luckily found M.E. and purchased the choke kit post haste and now the 302 is as happy as
I am.

Hey all,
Wanted to do a comprehensive review of this GREAT Manual Choke Conversion Kit, complete with JPGs, but there is no way to add photos to this review.

If you are seriously considering converting your Autolite 2100 or 4100 from the STOCK Rube Goldberg Automatic Choke Mechanism to the Mustangs Etc. Manual Choke Conversion, YOU might find the Manual Choke Install Caper helpful.

Haven't yet installed the Manual Choke Conversion, but it seems pretty straight forward. In looking at having to replace the Link on the Choke Plate Shaft, it appears to be a bit of a PITA. Don't know why the The lock cam is indexed at 9 and 3 o’clock instead of 12 and 6 o’clock. It would be so much easier if the Lock Cam were indexed at 12 and 6 o'clock, so that removal of the OLD Link would be eliminated. Other than that, it all looks pretty copacetic. Am looking forward to installing it on the world famous Ms. American 3.14159's Autolite 4100 C4AF-9510-DG. Ms. American is the ONLY 1964 Ford Galaxie 500, Four-Door, Hard-Top, Fast-Back, Police Interceptor that GOOGLE finds on the whole World Wide Web.
